We will be here for you every step of the way. Our learning and talent consultants and instructional designers are experts in the field and will build your curriculum, course or program and ensure that it meets your organizational goals. We do all the heavy lifting and make your role easy!
If you don't know what type of training or curriculum you want, or which modalities to employ, leave it to us! In our initial consultation, we'll listen to your goals and create a customized training plan to get you where you're trying to go.
We specialize in design and development of e-learning but also offer content creation for blended and live programs, which may include deliverables such as instructor and participant guides, PowerPoint decks and/or printable resources.
Have your learners passed a quiz but not shown performance improvement on the job? Let us evaluate the success of your training and pinpoint any knowledge or skill gaps that exist. We'll guide you on actionable next steps for how to close those gaps.
Are you in need of a compliance elearning module but low on time and resources to design, develop and deliver it? We have fully built elearning courses on everything from phishing and IT security to bloodborne pathogens, ready to post and assign on your LMS! Contact us today for demo and pricing.
Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We do it all! Our focus is corporate elearning, and we have designed and developed content for a wide variety of industries including healthcare, finance, retail, advertising, marketing, telecom, tech and many more! Need a compliance course on phishing or ethics? No problem! Want to teach your employees how to navigate a new system or software? We got you covered! We've designed courses on everything from teaching physicians how to diagnose and treat chronic medical conditions to teaching sales consultants how to sell [beer, life insurance, medical devices, you name it!], to teaching customer service agents how to communicate with customers effectively and resolve their issues. Send us a message or give us a call today and we'll schedule a free consultation to discuss your needs and explain how we can help.
Instructional Design is the analysis of learning needs and systematic development of instruction.
Instructional designers (IDs) are magical unicorns that first determine the best way to teach learners something and then create and deliver those educational and training materials. Another way to explain it is, we review your information ("source content") and/or listen to your learning goals and determine the best way to teach the learner what they need to know. We are skilled and experienced at taking even the most technical and complicated topics and creating courses that make the information easy to understand and that are also fun, engaging, and memorable!
We design and develop online, blended and live courses and curricula. Here is a summary of each modality:
Online - also known as e-learning - are courses that learners can access via your learning management system LMS. These are generally on demand, self-paced courses that the learner can access and complete on their own devices at their own convenience. We can design and develop the course or courses and, if desired, coach you on how to get them on your LMS and assign them to the appropriate learners.
Live / ILT - Live Instructor Led Training (ILT) classes or workshops are also often referred to as "classroom training." These are the courses or programs that are conducted in real time, face-to-face, where a teacher is at the front of the room facilitating or giving a talk to a group of learners at a designated location (usually in a classroom). These vary in duration but are often conducted as one full day or two full days.
vILT - Virtual ILT (vILT) is also live and in real time but is done virtually (via web conference) instead of in person. This can be a good approach for organizations where the workforce is primarily remote and spread out in different locations and/or budget does not allow for face to face. It can also be effective for trainings that involve a large number of participants. These can be recorded and shared for on demand access later.
Blended - A blended program refers to a training that incorporates a little bit of everything, both elearning courses and live instruction in a classroom. Blended programs usually include a number of job aids or printable resources as well - these can also be called performance improvement aids and are intended for quick reference on the job (Common resources include step-by-step guides on how to complete a task or process, how to navigate a website or system, an FAQ document about a specific topic, or roles and responsibilities).
We can help with that! In general, large programs with a great deal of content often call for a blended program that includes both online and in person (live) instruction along with some performance resources or "job aids." Systems training can require a live session but can also be done efficiently with elearning that includes simulations where the learner can see how to navigate the system and is then prompted to "practice." Soft skills like communication and customer service are often best taught in person where role play activities and discussions can occur, but the software we use to design elearning can make soft skill topics fun with animated scenarios and interactive knowledge checks and activities. Compliance topics are often easily taught through elearning.
We generally follow the ADDIE process, which stands for Analysis Design Development Implementation Evaluation. ADDIE is an instructional systems design framework that many instructional designers and training developers use to develop courses. We are happy to modify our process to accommodate your organizational processes or timeline (we know some companies follow a more AGILE process and we are happy to work within this framework, too!).
We do our best to minimize your time investment because we understand you're busy! Other than a planning and/or kickoff meeting and some initial discussions, the main thing we need from you is your feedback! The reviews may vary slightly by project but in general, we follow an alpha, beta, gold development process and will ask for your review and feedback during each phase of this cycle. We are happy to explain this in more detail when we begin planning your course or training program. Reviews are easy and can be done via a web-based tool (without meeting) in most circumstances. However, we're happy to meet at any time during the process to discuss your thoughts, needs or concerns!
The cost will vary depending on project scope, the complexity of courses or content you're looking for (ie Will it include multimedia or animation? How interactive does it need to be? Is there a formal assessment?) and and many other factors. Contact us today to tell us what you're looking for and we're happy to give you a quote.
The turnaround time will also vary greatly depending on what your needs are - For example, we can design and develop a short microlearning in a couple of weeks, but other projects that involve multiple courses and/or blended elements may take six to nine months or longer. While we have to be realistic and set expectations, we will do everything in our power to accommodate your deadlines.
